Yes we are...

I was lucky enough to catch up with Christi Silva at Blue Bee in Santa Barbara yesterday - by accident!!!

Dave and I were trolling State St. and although I wasn't motivated to look at women's clothing, I was definitely motivated to see the Blue Bee's men store ( we get a lot of men coming in to our store asking for men's vintage so I needed some inspiration ).

There was an event going on ( no I did not know about this in advance ) and as the hubby and I were turning the corner I heard someone say "Bye Christi" - then I thought "could it be?" - and it was!!! The funny thing is that Christi saw me come in and made a mental note of my hair and aviators ( familiar to her )... we were in tune!

So great to meet her in person! Now everyone go visit her blog ( if you haven't already ) That's So Rad !

Spring has sprung at the Malibu Country Mart! Sunday was a surprise though when I was graced with the presence of world famous jewelry designer CC SKYE and her bestie Shari Tuschman, equally uber-fabulous and editor in chief of L.A. Confidential magazine. The gals purposely looked me up ( after the write up Shari's mag did on my store )

to have some vintage dress-up fun! More than an hour and countless outfits later, the girls settled on rocker tees and a beautiful sweater and a fabulous spring frock...their faves were also matching Byblos jackets - perfectly fitting their breezy bestie personalities!

Word.
